About our beach

Ulcinj Montenegro Kitebeach

The kite area is located in southern Montenegro on a 14 km long unspoiled and natural sandy beach. The prevailing Maestral wind blows obliquely outward from about 13.00 to 19.00 clock with about 15 to 25 knots on average.

There are almost no gusts due to the constant thermal wind and the spot is ideal for beginners.

The standing area is about 100 m into the water from the beach, which allows beginners to feel safe when learning water starts. Advanced kiters have the option of miles downwind to the shallow water lagoons of the Bojana River

Hydrofoilers appreciate the area because there are no shallows upstream and it can be driven away at a 90 degree angle from the beach.

It can be safely barefooted, as only soft sandy soil without the risk to step on any sharp stones or reefs.

There are no dangerous sea creatures in the Adriatic, which could somehow make kites dangerous. This also contributes to relaxation.

The water of the southern Adriatic is very warm in the summer and it can usually be enjoyed with board shorts. It is also very clean and offers great sunsets.
